I took a “day” (well, from when the children were at school and nursery) off yesterday. I dropped them off, watched Big Girl’s performance at her Christmas concert, then I went into town, had a coffee and cake, all by myself and then pottered round the shops, came home, had a small nap, then read a book. It was just what I needed. I haven’t actually taken any time out for myself, in, well, actually I can’t remember. Now I need to get on with the last of the Christmas preparations and wrapping.

I am so jealous! I would love to have a day to read, shop, and relax. How did you manage to find the time to take such a treat?
My daughter was at school, and my son goes to kindergarten/nursery for 3 hours a day, then went to friends for lunch. Gave me from 930-3pm! 🙂 It’s a very rare event, I can’t actually remember when I last had time to do anything other than Mummy related or work stuff! 🙂
