With our two youngest we have practiced cosleeping. We did with our older three to some degree, but mainly in those painfully early hours! They all are good sleepers now and have been for many years (apart from the baby obviously). They all get there in the end!
Whenever we have got to the point of needing them to fall asleep alone they have all needed something different but with my most highly strung ones I would go from full on hugging to eventually just a hand on their backs, to slowly moving away from their beds. The hours I sat reading on the landing are laughable now! Each step varied in time from a few nights to a week or more, depending on how ready they were.
Good luck, be strong! You haven't done anything wrong at all, just been a really great mammy x #PoCoLo

I practice co-sleeping and I am planning on slowly making my son sleep on his own bed. Same room tho as we cant afford to heat 2 rooms in winter months. This is a nice read for someone like me #pocolo
