I'm not a massive fan - L got given a whole load, along with a loom from a family member (I'd not even heard of them up to then). She played with them with said family member whilst she stayed with us, then got upset about having to tidy them all up - she knows that if she doesn't tidy after herself then I tidy her things into the bin. Once said family member left they got put away in a cupboard and are mostly forgotten about now, as she's only allowed to play with them in the spare bedroom and in the kitchen and she prefers to be with us all in the living room, as I refuse to have them anywhere near where babies are crawling (for the same reason as for your cats)! Good luck keeping them at bay!
