I know how you feel very much! my personal experince of bad etiquette while was when I went America about four years ago. While on the flight it came to time when food was being distributed. The very kind and efficient stewardesseswent round asking what you wanted and gave it out. Everybody pulled down the tray in front of them and sat up. The stewardess asked if we would like a drink and I thought that as I was finishing my holiday, why not? I chose a glass of red wine. Meal ready, wine glass full. At this point the ‘person in front of decided that it was a great time for a sleep and promptly reclined his seat. One sliding meal saved by lip of tray but wine was saved by my lap! I could have throttled the guy. I therefore had wet jeans and wet seat. Stewardesses came to help. I initially hit the seat in front of me hard making it move to indicate my displeasure, also to make sure the passenger wouldn’t get a rest. He’s made my flight a misery why not I make his a misery, extremely childish and could be dangerous! Dee told me to calm down and tried to. I think what made it even worse was the total disregard of the guy in front for his actions? Not once during the flight did he recognise what he had done even though I was indicating to him, through the incessant knocks of his chair, of the lack of leg space in aircraft seating!

This was over 4 flights, not one, so it doesn’t seem as bad, but I was still pretty shocked!

Lol, going and being abroad is amazing, it’s just your fellow travellers and their manners you have to watch out for getting there! 🙂

Good grief – I’m amazed you made it there and back with your sanity in tact. I really do feel that some people have no idea about how their behaviour affects people or, even worse, don’t care. Glad you made it there and back despite the best attempts of others and so glad you had a good time when you were there.
