yep we’ve had a many a similar scene in our house. one morning the eldest told us the hamster had walked passed him in the kitchen, we asked him why he didn’t pick it up and he said ‘you told me not to touch the hamster’ it was 3 days and a humane rat trap that were needed and one hysterical 7yo who refused to go to school

LOL This sould be made into a children’s story book! When I was little I had 6 hamsters and one got lost and managed to nibble its way into the base of our sofa! Mum wasn’t too happy! We also had budgies which were also a nightmare to catch if we let them out for a fly! We literally had to switch of the lights and throw a teatowel over them to catch them! The joys of owning pets! Now we just have a dog – though considering a kitten or bunny!
