I sat nodding along to every point - Motherhood is such a rollercoaster isnt it, thats a good way to think of it when you have a bad day. I especially love point 10, I am looking forward to the future, but trying to grasp hold of the present too because i know as much as these years are hard, I will miss them (probably when I am getting more sleep!)

I love your tips and wisdom, totally agree with everything you said here. You are always constantly learning too and if you are anything like me you doubt the way you've done certain things or wish you'd handled things differently in one way or the other. Finally, it'll come to the time of them graduating and going out of the nest and that's a whole other hurdle. I always thought I was an "experienced" mom because I have 5 kids, but that just teaches you that you have patience because you go through all the same stages over and over. I wasn't prepared for saying goodbye though, you make sure they are ready for it and you do a great job but you forget to prepare yourself for it too. With 5 kids I feel now that I am more of an onion, as each year passes I peel off a layer and something newer is under it. I've loved each of the stages I have went through, even the diaper changes, potty training, first day of schools and all those fits in between. I've always enjoyed those first steps, words, dates, etc. I wouldn't change it for the world.
