I find it strange that there is such a stigma attached to mental illness, yet almost everyone I speak to is or has suffered from a mental illness.

I can only speak for myself and say that I am a drug addict and an alcoholic in recovery now for eight years. I have also been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I suffered from PND after the birth of my first baby for 6 months. Quite the mess right?

Well I am glad for my experiences, I am happy with who I am today and every little thing I have been through, good and bad, has made me into this person.

I have been in rehabs and I have had counseling and therapy coming out of my ears. It has made me into a better person, with a deeper understanding of myself and of others.

Well done on getting through your difficulties, it just makes you stronger.
