It is harder when they are all home and need us more. I know one day they won’t be around as much so I am trying not to mind it and make sure I look after me too

Some fantastic ideas and things I always did when I had a house full of kids, especially the getting up early, I still do that. I find myself focusing on daily self care as I’m on my own at the moment, get showered, dressed and always make sure everything is tidy. We now have an empty nest, as both my sons are in their twenties and have left home. Son no2 is in his final year, at Manchester Uni but has returned home for obvious reasons! I must admit that I love having him here!! But I can still remember the need for some ‘me time’ when the boys were small. Exercise and fresh air are the main things that keep me grounded, at the moment, but I also love a perfumed candle! Must check out Han London as your candle sounds divine. #PoCoLo

I can’t stay in my pyjamas all day either. I have to get washed and dressed or I’ll feel horrible.
It’s so important to do something for yourself. The old phrase “you can’t pour from an empty cup’ is so true. #StayClassyMama

Nice post. I get up early to write and it’s ‘my time’. I’m very reluctant to give that up (I have friends that ask me to go for an early morning walk). #StayClassyMama (and since ISO the exercise has also become non negotionable.)

I’ve definitely been feeling the need for space and time to myself recently – I was so desperate I even started running haha! (I’ve always hated it!) But the headspace and just to escape for half an hour is SO GOOD! Have a good week – candle looks lovely 🙂 #stayclassymama
