It sounds like you have a lot of pressure put on you during the school holidays. I hope they go OK for you.
I would love to shorten the summer holidays too and add a few days here and there throughout the year. x

We are half way through the summer holidays, and I’m finding it even more exhausting than the home schooling. You can really feel the difference with the lack of/ change in routine.

I totally understand. I loved the holidays (as schooldays were a bit tumultuous for me) but I needed to stick to a regular routine. I don’t like routine now really, but, I still need like a bit of a plan to each day.

I absolutely agree about shortening the summer holidays. I wish they would take two weeks off summer and add it to Christmas. I always find I never get all the Christmassy activities I want to do with my boys done and extra time would be fabulous. Plus schools would save money on heating bills. Its win win!
