Thank you. It's funny, isn't it, how things like dummies, bottles, how we feed them, where they sleep etc can bring out such strong opinions! Colic is horrible. Poor you and Grace!

I felt EXACTLY the same way as you when Grace was born - I swore she wouldn't have a dummy! But bad colic and me not coping put paid to that and so Grace had a dummy until the age of 4. I am so with you though, I wish people wouldn't judge and tell you what to do!! Thanks for linking to PoCoLo x

I'm glad you posted this, Eli went to Liverpool last week and his nana didn't give him his dummy the whole time he was there, I was convinced that meant he wouldn't want it anymore. Of course as soon as he got home he was crying for his dummy and has ended up having it again. We too get the comments and the questions about when he will be giving it up!

At least I know I'm not alone in the struggle. Hope phasing it out goes ok for you x

Good for you. I think as parents we instinctively know what our kids need and how we should deal with them... and when we don't we ask for help. I don't take kindly to strangers commenting on aspects of my parenting and I think it is plain rude. If I ask for opinions and don't get the answer I want, well that's my problem but until I ask I don't welcome them! It sounds like M knows exactly what he's doing and I love that you trust him him - I think you are setting the foundations for a really strong, respectful relationship. Well done xxx
