Stuff we love – April

Welcome to our monthly installment of stuff we love. Things we have liked and want to share about. There are no affiliate links, any links are simply because we think you may want to go and see for yourselves…

It’s been  rather crazy month, coming back from holiday, finishing off the Easter holidays, back to school, exciting family news (hint, my children get a new cousin in the early Autumn, we love babies and we are very excited about this !) and life, crazy as usual.

But without further ado, here are few things we liked and loved, in April.

I discovered these rather marvelous hand made marshmallows recently, in a local shop. They are light, fluffy, not too sweet, and perfect if you love marshmallow. Safe to say they didn’t last long. If you don’t live locally to me, then you can find them on Etsy, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I have finally jumped on the Deliciously Ella bandwagon and am loving the snack balls. I am not a fan of ginger, generally, but these are yummy.

More marshmallow, with these rather nice treats from Mallow & Marsh. I promise I don’t actually have a sweet tooth, it’s just been a month where I have maybe indulged more than normal, I blame hormones.

So I have used this cover stick, since I was 12. That’s a long time. I don’t use any other, this one is cheap, comes in a light enough colour for my super pale skin and it’s worked for years. I had to buy a new one recently, again, thanks to hormones making my skin go a bit mad. Rimmel made a winner with this one. I remember when it used to cost 99p (yes, I am THAT OLD!!)

Tassimo don’t sell their decaffeinated pods in the shops, in England, but they do in France, so we stocked up, and brought them home from holiday. I have since discovered I can get them on Amazon, so I won’t be utterly grumpy when they run out…

I am loving the Midnight Recovery range from Kiehls. I don’t know if they are working miracles, but my skin feels a bit fresher when I wake up in the morning. They are not cheap but they last and a little goes a long way. Every little helps, no?

We have started doing our regular grocery shop in Aldi, which has opened up locally to us. It is definately budget friendly, and we can get most of our groceries there. We do use other places for certain gluten and dairy free things that we use but both the Husband and I are now Aldi converts.

Please admire my new coffee mug, from Sugar & Sloth, which you can also get on Etsy and there is nothing to be said about it because it is just so fabulous…

Matthew is very pleased with the results of our Sow & Grow seed kit from Innocent. This is Sunny, the sunflower, and he’s about three times the size, now, and will be going out into the the garden, soon, so hopefully get some sunshine.

So that’s our monthly round up. Have you been loving anything this spring? Feel free to share in the comments.
