So, what better way to celebrate the release on DVD and Blue Ray, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, than with a road trip? That’s what Emily and I got up to this week.
The movie is based around a family road trip, so it seemed entirely appropriate to be taking one ourselves. In a very nice bus, on a slightly mysterious tour.
Watching a movie, eating sweets, wondering who we are going to meet?
All was revealed…
In the movie, a very cute piglet is featured (no spoilers, I promise) so of course, we arrived at a place fully of pigs. Micro pigs to be exact. Welcome to Kew Little Pigs
Look at that face? How can you not love that face?
We got down to their level, and after being introduced to them, and a few of their quirks and characters, we got literally into the mud and brushed and chatted to the pigs. I am a big of a pig fan, and Emily is too, so we had great fun, and got very muddy. Neither of us fell over in the mud, though, which we were quite pleased about.
Brushing a pig, as you do! They were very friendly and amenable, and frankly, I would have quite happily put one in my bag to take home, if I had been allowed to.
So really, not a bad way to spend a morning and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Getting muddy was well worth it.
You can find out what happens in the movie and where and when the pig comes in, because Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, is now out on DVD and Blue Ray. Why not grab a copy for half term to enjoy with the whole family? We loved it and we think you will too!
