My Sunday Photo. Red on black ladybird

ladybird

The final photo in our series as we have watched the ladybird larvae in the bush outside our house change, and go through metamorphosis. This one is more unusual, we don’t see red on black as often. My small boy entomologist has been fascinated and it has been fun to watch them change.

He took this photo using my Nikon, I helped him edit it slightly so you could see the ladybird more clearly.

  1. Hi Karen, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a ladybird in those colours before. It’s like a negative of a regular one. Your little entomologist hs done a fine job editing the photo too.
