The Quantam Grail

I have been enjoying this new techno thriller.  It’s the first time I’ve read a book from this author and I have been really impressed.  The Quantam Grail contains very well developed plot, lots of action and plenty of twists and turns.  The main characters backgrounds have some interesting complexities and allow themes of social justice, personal loss and applied AI to be interwoven.

John (the main character) finds himself fighting battles on multiple fronts in a race to recover the most capable computer ever built and find his kidnapped wife at the same time.  He has to face his past as he carries out the roles of father figure and soldier simultaneously.

The scale of the plot is enormous and we are made to reflect on what the future of quantum computing is in our world and what could happen if it is misused.   Who will police the computers that are meant to protect us or to quote a common saying “who guards the guards?”.

You can get your hands on a copy here* and if thriller stories with lots of twists and turns are your preferred reading then I would definately recommend it.
