I must confess, that I am not brilliant navigating things like flying drones, but when Wicked Uncle asked if we would like to review the Sky Viper Force Hand Controlled Drone, I thought it might be time to try again. I have a son, who unlike his mother, has brilliant hand eye coordination, who offered to supervise the review. His dad was also keen too.
This is easy to use, lightweight flying drone with infrared sensors that recognise your hand movement. For indoor use and simple to control, this brilliant 11cm drone features cool infrared technology. The smart sensors detect the surroundings and react to your movements, flying itself. Control with your hands and watch in wonder as it automatically avoids obstacles and performs flips and stunts! Impact resistant with a flexible shock-absorbing outer cage, USB rechargeable for a 5 minute flight time.
Sounds too good to be true?
I promise it isn’t. Because it’s an indoor drone, it’s much easier to manage, you are not battling the elements and weather, or worrying about the laws around drone flying, for a start.
Because it’s hand held, you are not fiddling around with remote controls and trying to manage those whilst also trying not to loose your patience or the actual drone.
It’s very easy and safe to fly and great for exploring high up places. We have very high ceilings at work so it’s great to fly there, and we have a lot of fun playing with it.
I find it very easy to fly, despite having absolutely no hand eye coordination, so if like me, you are trepidous about learning to fly a drone, this is a great starter model. I was surprised by how well the hand control of the drone worked too.
This makes a brilliant gift for someone who wants to try drone flying and get used to mastering the basics and would make a perfect Christmas or birthday gift. It’s easy to charge and at £34.99 is within budget for older kids and their pocket money spending too, as well as for adults. We would definitely recommend it.
