A thing of beauty that has been baking slowly all day and made my house smell amazing today. Christmas cake ready to be doused with brandy and left to do it’s Christmassy magic, ready to be taken to France to be eaten with cheese (I’m doing my research and finding something akin to Wensleydale) no icing or marzipan this year.
