Our week in photos -20/09/19 – 27/09/18 Goodbye September.

Welcome to Our Week in Photos. Our way of sharing our week and what we get up to with our family abroad and grandparents who like to keep up with our life and antics.

Am I the only person who thinks that September has literally flown past and it seems rather ridiculous that October is looming? I have to say I do struggle with winter in the UK so I am feeling pretty anxious about the weather changing, dark nights, more germs and being stuck indoors. One day it won’t be an issue, as our long term plan is to move abroad, but for now it’s a case of sucking it up and getting on. We will survive.

This week has been busy, as usual. The boy started cookery classes. I am a huge believer that all children need some basic cooking skills and learn how to make decent meals so they can feed themselves when they leave home. I do work with my kids in the kitchen and cook with them but part of homeschooling for us is using the resources locally available to us and we are thoroughly delighted to be signed up to Relish & Grace this term for cooking classes that he can enjoy, learn new skills and try new foods (and maybe even bring some home for us to try too)

My finger is finally better. We had the drama of a vet visit for Jasper, then a visit to the hospital for me with an infected finger when he scratched me, trying to get medication into him. Then we realized I was allergic to one of the very strong antibiotics they gave me. Save to say I will be wearing gloves when I have to give Jasper medicine from now on.

We have had friends for lunch, busy school and homeschool weeks, prepping for the husband to do a pretty tough work exam this week (he passed and did well by the way) and the usual cats, cake and chaos.

My favourite photo from this week. A rare sighting of the tween and her cat.
