Help kids stay creative with some fun & free colouring

*This is a collaborative post*

During the long school holidays, it can be a bit more challenging to help kids stay creative, and finding ideas that don’t cost the earth to keep them busy and occupied can seem a mammoth task.

Sometimes you just want to throw something at the kids that’s easy, fuss-free, doesn’t cost anything but keeps them busy so you can get on with things you need to do, or to give them something to do when they are bored. It’s not always a bad thing for kids to be bored and to have to entertain themselves but having things up your sleeve to keep them amused is handy.

I am not a creative person, I am not ashamed to admit that. So I am always on the lookout for things to do with my kids which means I don’t have to make my brain try and be creative or crafty for them.

JULI BOLAÑOS-DURMAN STUDIO has some fanastic and appealing and also free dowloadable colouring prints that are fun for kids and adults to do.

help kids stay creative

Easy to colour but eye-catching and fun and a bit different and more interesting than your average colouring sheet. You can download them, print them and colour as many as you want and because they are free and you can colour them differently each time. Colouring is calming, cathartic and a great activity for all ages. My children are older now but still love some simple colouring when all else fails.

So if you are looking for something quick and easy to pull out to help kids creative or even as a fun activity for everyone to do, then why not try some of these, even the grown-ups can join in. You could even have a competition to see who is the best at colouring in. My kids always win in our house at that…
