Project 365 – a photo a day, for every day of the year.
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions, but one of the things I did want to do was go back to the habit of having no phones in our bedroom at night. I have done it before and it has done wonders for my sleep and anxiety. There is a lot of research out there that says phones in bedrooms and staring at a phone before you go to sleep is bad for you so it makes sense that I should try again and remove the phone from my room. It is also a better example to the kids, who are not allowed phones or iPads in their room at night. This tiny, and very pink clock will be responsible for getting me up. It’s rather cute.
So, from Monday next week, no phones in our room. Can we cope. I think we can.
What do you think? Phone in room, or no phone in room?
I have tried this and it has worked positively for me. Somehow, though, my phone has managed to sneak back into our bed and I don’t seem to be able to get rid of it again. Stupid addiction 🙂 let me know how you manage – do you replace it with something else or just stay in the dark waiting to fall asleep?
