It’s not often a movie that makes me cry, but Abominable did.
Abominable is a beautifully animated movie that follows teenage Yi as she encounters a young Yeti on the roof of her apartment building in
China, she and her mischievous friends, Jin and Peng, name him “Everest” and embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family at the highest point on Earth. But the trio of friends will have to stay one step ahead of Burnish (Izzard), a wealthy man intent on capturing a Yeti, and zoologist Dr. Zara (Paulson) to help Everest get home.
This really is an incredibly heartwarming movie that made me cry. The music and animations are wonderful and the storyline makes you think about life and what makes life worth living and what are you working for? Are people, friends, and family more important than things? There is also the eco concern side to the movie? Do humans have the right to own the creatures in our world or not?
This is a lovely family movie, perfect for half term coming up and it does have a happy ending, I promise. No more spoilers, now.
Abominable is available on Digital 3rd February and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray™ and DVD 10th February, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

I don’t think it is real, as it is just a story, be quite cool if it was real though!
It’s not real given the lack of evidence of its existence.
Don’t tell my kids that! 😉
Of course he is real! Or are you also questioning the existence of Father Christmas, the Easter bunny and the Tooth fairy?
You really don’t want to be doing that!!!
