Welcome to Our Week in Photos. Our way of sharing our week and what we get up to with our family abroad and grandparents who like to keep up with our life and antics.
We have had an interesting week. We have recovered from our mad DIY spurt of activity and the teenager’s bedroom looks really good. A few last photos to be put up and then we will be done. I want to move onto doing our room and the boy’s room next. The husband is scared, he wants a few weeks off.
This is my favourite photo from this week, the husband finally tried a turmeric latte, and admitted they are not as awful as he thought they were. He likes to wind me up that I drink hipster drinks, he’s a straight coffee snob.
We have tried to slide back into homeschool and normal routine with varying degrees of success, for some reason we have found it a bit harder this time. We have applied for dance school associate courses, for the boy and now we wait for audition dates and see where we go from there.
I was very lucky to be invited to see a show in London, this week, something a bit different, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am struggling personally, with the news this week of Coronavirus. I have a level of PTSD and anxiety around health issues, particularly after the husband was so ill last year, so it’s been a hard week for me, trying to be logical and calm and not expose myself to the media which I think is not helping anyone to be that logical about what is going on. It’s not easy to explain how I feel. Thankfully I have people in my life who have grace and are supporting me, but it isn’t easy.
So we go into another week, and hopefully a bit more routine. A very brief week in photos this week. Back to normal next week. I hope the week has been kind to you too…
You can see what we have been up to in our usual weekly video below or click here
I am done with the DIY here for a few weeks. I need a rest. lol
The turmeric latte sounds interesting.
All the news about Coronavirus is stressing me out. A handful of kids were tested at my youngest girls school after coming back from a skiiing trip to Italy. So far all the results are negative but it’s a little too close to home. x
I like turmeric latte and it’s so good for you. I’m trying not to stress about the corona virus, especially as I have an auto immune condition anyway. But then I don’t go out much, I just hope my kids don’t bring anything home from school. Saying that, I’ve recovered from flu and pneumonia in the past couple of years so I don’t think I should worry too much.
Glad th eDIY has gone well. It’s pretty non existent in our house which is disgraceful as a lot needs doing.
It feels like coronovirus is a bit far removed, although we’ve had conversations about people who’ve been to Italy wanting to come to meetings. Madness, given that while they don’t officially need to self isolate, they could just dial into the meeting rather than potentially infecting 25 people who’ll all travel back home and then back to their offices. I’m hoping that it all quietens down more and cases slow down again.
Glad the DIY went well, we have been doing similar. Not sure about the Turmeric latte as I’m not keen on latte or drinks, but it sounds like it would be good when it comes to anti-inflammatory. I am trying not to worry too much about Coronavirus, but writing about it at work isn’t easy when you are in the high-risk group xx
I think I’d be with your husband on this one and wanting a bit of a break, but I guess you have the momentum now, so maybe keep going. I am worried about it too, not so much for me and H, but there’s my Dad and I know a few vulnerable people.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a turmeric latte. It sounds interesting. Coronavirus is a worry and I know if Jessica had still been alive, we would have been extremely anxious about it so I can imagine just what a worry it is for you. I hope that it doesn’t spread too widely and that perhaps the warmer weather will help slow it all down. #project366
I have never even heard of a turmeric latte! It sounds like a London thing to me. Sorry to hear that you’re so worried about coronavirus. Let’s hope it isn’t as bad as the predictions. It’s good to hear that you’ve got support around you.
Good luck to your boy with the auditions!
I hope you have a calmer and less anxious week this week. Good luck with the dance #366
Sorry to hear you’ve been so anxious this week, I was getting anxious, for different reasons, about my flight to see my husband being canceled, I’m not concerned about not be able to get back though. I’m sorry but I’m on your husbands team when it comes to coffee
I hope your flight is ok and you don’t get stuck. It’s an interesting few weeks ahead we have, I think
oh dear, conflict over decorating.
I think a lot of people are anxious and worried about the virus, just do the best you can to protect your self. Can understand why you are anxious.
Need to give the tumeric latte a try!
The media are hyping everything up and causing panic. Sorry to hear you have been feeling so anxious.
The media hype is mad, isn’t it? Doesn’t help those of us who are anxious at all!
Turmeric latte? That sounds interesting. Good luck with the dance courses. Great to know the show was fun.
The Coronavirus crisis is getting alot of attention is because it’s simply a new strain of virus. The media is over-hyping this whereas this virus causes barely 2% mortality and mainly to those who are immuno-compromised. The main thing you can do is keep yourself clean, hydrate yourself and protect yourself from people sneezing and coughing openly
I think there is a lot of hype ahout it and the media is running wild. It’s harder with a child with asthma and a husband who has been very ill not to worry, but I am trying not to!
My husband hates it when I get the DIY bug as he knows it means hard work (for him rather than me). A lovely picture there – thanks so much for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
