Feel stress free with Thrive

I recently was asked to try out an app, to see how it worked when dealing with issues like stress, anxiety and depression. It’s a handy little app available to download to a mobile device. The developers of the program have come up with an app you can use to help you manage stress and cope that little bit easier.

A little about the developers of Thrive

“We help prevent, detect early and manage common mental health conditions including depression and anxiety. We develop evidence-based apps that enable anybody anywhere access to effective techniques that enable you to cope better with the stresses of life. We make our apps as fun as possible to make it easy and enjoyable for you to use them consistently, as consistent use produces the best results.

Feel Stress Free teaches you tried and tested techniques to manage the stress of a hectic life. It tracks your mood over time and trains you to optimise your coping mechanisms

Feel Stress Free is our stress management programme. Released at the beginning of 2016, Be Stress Free has been created over two years of development and research to pro-actively prevent and manage stress and anxiety.

  • Keeps track of your mood over time
  • Enables you to train your thoughts so you can manage how you feel about different situations
  • Trains you in 4 relaxation techniques that give you control over your stress

This is a brilliant little app that you can download on your phone or tablet, or access on your latpop, to help you deal with the stresses of life.

The Yerkes-Dodson Law explains the relationship between performance and stress, indicating that an optimal level of pressure needs to be applied to get the best from someone. However, once that optimal level becomes too much for a person to handle, performance decreases significantly. The management of stress and anxiety is imperative to us living a healthy, happy life.

Each of the clinical interventions used in the app have years of research behind them, and we’ve featured all of this within the app itself, as well as below. We have also carried out clinical research trials at the University of Roehampton, with another commencing in April 2016.”

There are options available to help you assess your mood and why you may be feeling the way you are, and then techniques suggested to help you try and deal with your mood and anxiety.

Technology is really clever, and being able to access an app that can help you deal with life’s stresses using proven techniques used by therapists and qualified practitioners from your phone is something I very much appreciate.

As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression, this kind of app is really handy, and I can really see how it would  be a useful tool, for on the go, to help you manage some of your moods and stresses. It has options available depending on your mood and needs and is easy to use and simple to activate and download. It works really well and having tried it, I would definitely say it’s worth subscribing to.
