It’s the season for colds and coughs. The weather has changed and germs abound. Winter is coming and so are those nasty lurgies that send us rushing to get tissues and throat sweets.
I hate getting colds. You aren’t quite sick enough to take time off work, but you feel pretty much like death warmed up and as a busy working mum, there isn’t really grace for me to take a day or two off to curl up with a warm drink and recover so I look for anything that might help keep me on my feet, make the sneezing and sniffing stop and help me carry on with normal life.
When this ColdZyme product arrived I was a little skeptical, because there are lots of products out there that claim to help shorten the life of a cold and make you feel better but I am willing to try most things, if I think they will help! A mum’s got to do what she has to do…
They say…
ColdZyme® Mouth Spray is unique in that it fights the cause of the common cold – the cold virus. ColdZyme® Mouth Spray is easy to use and works by forming a protective barrier on the mucous membrane of the throat, making it more difficult for the cold virus to cause illness. ColdZyme® Mouth Spray, used protectively, can help shorten the duration of a cold, by acting on the cold virus itself instead of just helping to relieve the symptoms.
So I waited for a cold to arrive to give it a try.
I have to say, I have had two colds that have appeared to start taking hold and both times when I have used this product as instructed on the packet, it really does seem to have shortened the life of my cold and I have felt better faster.
ColdZyme is not a medicine, but more of a sort of barrier to stop your cold taking hold. Clever and simple.
ColdZyme® Mouth Spray is a CE-marked medical device that works by creating a temporary, local, protective barrier on the surface of the mucous membrane in the oral cavity and throat. Unlike medicines, it has no pharmacological, metabolic or immunological effect.
I have to say, I am impressed and it usually takes a lot to impress me. I now keep a bottle of ColdZyme handy for when I feel those annoying first cold like symptoms appearing and it’s part of our basic health kit, I have at home. It can be safely and easily and popped into a purse or bag.
Another weapon to add to my arsenal to keep this mum going, because mums don’t get sick days and can’t sit around waiting for coughs and colds to go…
