Because life isn’t crazy enough with cats, kids, fish, hamsters and our busy life, we also deal with food allergies.
The husband is allergic to cows milk, and all products containing cows milk, he also suffers from a non coeliac gluten intolerance.
The small boy is also allergic to cows milk and all products containing cows milk so as a family, we don’t tend to eat cows milk or products containing cows milk and we avoid gluten, or I cook gluten free meals.
The tween and I do break out occasionally and eat cheese but I mostly blog and share about living with food allergies and what works and doesn’t for us. We share recipes, product reviews, and brands we like.
It hasn’t always been easy but we do manage to eat well and enjoy food and life.
I love making a roast dinner, I love feeding people, in general, but cooking a roast lunch or dinner with all the trimmings is a favourite of mine, and when I cook good stuffing is a must. This is a recipe for gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free stuffing works really well, and it’s allergy-friendly too. I don’t…
This creamy, vegan pesto sauce is so good you won’t notice there is no dairy in it.

These speculaas spiced muffins are easy to make, and when they are baking make the house smell AMAZING! I must confess, whilst I am not a huge cake eater, or biscuit muncher (contrary to what you might think if you follow me on social media…) I do like spiced cakes and biscuits. This Speculaas Spice mix,…
*This is a review post. We were kindly sent some items to create a recipe with* When the husband and I first got together, almost 21 years ago, I learned pretty quickly, that I would have to adapt life around his food allergies. Back then there was very little in the way of nice food…
Pizza is a firm family favorite meal in our house. This is a very quick, cheat recipe. My kids LOVE pizza, but both my big boy and smaller boy are allergic to cows milk, so we have to look for other options. Goats milk products work for them, safely, so that’s what we use. Goats…
